Michael Bush MD

Dr Bush graduated from Clark University with a double major in Biology and Psychology. He continued his education at SUNY Downstate Medical College where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1978.

​

His post graduate training was at Lenox Hill Hospital, where he did both his Internship and Residency. In 1981 he was selected to be the Chief Medical Resident and received the Upjohn Achievement Award in 1982 as the Most Outstanding Medical Resident.

​

He has been elected twice to represent his peers on the Medical Board of Lenox Hill Hospital. He has also been elected to the Board of Directors of the Lenox Hill  Physician Hospital Association, and subsequently elected to be Chairman of that board.

​

He has maintained an active academic presence since entering private medical practice. He has been Assistant Chief of Medicine for Ambulatory and Consultative Medicine, Morning Report Attending, Attending in Charge of Medical Residents Journal Club; and a Voluntary Teaching Attending Physician on general medical units, the Emergency Room, and the Intensive Care Unit. In the past he has been on the faculty at Cornell Medical College and New York Medical College. His other academic positions have included being Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU School of Medicine and SUNY Downstate School of Medicine, for his work in teaching third year medical students.

Other awards include being selected as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor and New York Magazine Best Doctor.

​

Dr Bush is also proud of his non medical contributions to his community having been Head Coach for youth soccer and baseball for a combined 21 seasons.

​

Professionally, he is most proud of his accomplishments with regard to individual patient care and is grateful to have taken care of generations of families in the greater NYC area.

​

He believes that the finest medical care comes from combining academic knowledge, extensive experience, a thoughtful, compassionate and individual approach to patient concerns,  and a deep desire to do his very best in providing  that care
